Nano Banana 2.1 for images and image edits

Google's update to Nano Banana 2 takes its place, creates and edits images up to 4K, and starts at 2 credits per image.

Nano Banana 2.1 replaces Nano Banana 2 in Create Image, Edit image, and the Persona editor. Google released it today as an update to Nano Banana 2.

What you'll notice

  • From 2 credits. A new 1K image costs 2 credits and a 1K edit costs 3. At 4K they cost 4 and 5.
  • Up to 4K. Pick 1K, 2K, or 4K in the resolution setting. 1K is the default and the fastest.
  • Up to 14 references. Add reference images to keep a person, product, or style the same across images.
  • Edits that keep the rest. Add an image and describe one change, such as the time of day, and the subject and framing stay as they were.
  • Web search lets the model look up current facts before it draws. Turn it on in the settings when a prompt needs it.
